A squat, some Grey Knights, and a swamp monster walk into a bar...

Sorry, no punchline. But there is an update:

Oh, and a Yu Jing grunt (but that would make for less great of a joke):

Now with pictures!

The new camera is a huge improvement. Took some new pics of some older models, and well, the camera has already paid for itself. The Confrontation Goblin is a WIP, as is the Infinity TAG. Now, on to the pics:

Infinity

So I have a new love: Infinity. I've started a new Yu Jing army: I'm almost finished a TAG. I'll be posting pictures soon. It's good to paint a force with no duplicate models. After 15 or so Grey Knights, I just burned out. No more GW armies... No more.

A new camera - no, I really mean it this time

So I finally got another new camera. Tried saving some bucks on the last one, and it just couldn't get the job done. Having played too much with the new one, but with minimal lighting, no tripod, and auto settings, it takes better pictures than the last one could no matter how I set it up.

Anyway, Grey Knights are underway. More to come, and maybe some new pictures of old stuff:

Grey Knights

Got a bunch of the new Grey Knights, and I've already put some Paladins together. Truth be told, I was a little skeptical about the terminator kits, because the poses I'd seen looked a little silly. In fact, it's a great kit, and the test model that's almost done I think looks great. I'll try to get some pictures up soon. I'm hating my camera again. Think it needs to be replaced. Oh, and big Forgeworld order to be made soon...

Back to the swamp things! I'm determined to finish the Hordes Blindwater Congregation army I started. I should have some pics more pics up shortly.

In the meantime, anyone out there have any thoughts on whether I should turn my attention to my old Confrontation collection (Ophidians, Dirz, and Mid Nor) or the new Grey Knight plastics?
The paradox of choice...

"Bring out the Gimp..."

Okay, well, not exactly a revelation, but I'm really working on improving the quality of the pictures I'm taking of my models. And, I'll admit I'm not the most savvy with with anything to do with photography, let alone an editing program. Still, I think I'm figuring out how to use the Gimp, freeware which had overwhelmed me the first time I tried to give it a go.

Having said that, I'm hoping these are slightly better pictures. Hopefully, I'll get some pictures up of the latest gator - the bullsnapper.

It's only been a year...

So, it's been a long time, but I've returned to painting. It's helped that to meet with Matt, the studio painter from Privateer Press, and a bunch other other guys to paint on more or less a weekly basis. Again, a big thanks to Matt for patiently answering questions and all the feedback.
Anyway, the I'm working on a Blindwater list of 35 points. Bloodly Barnabas is still a work in progress, as, if nothing else, his base is yet to be swamped. These gators have been big fun to paint. Got a couple of other projects in mind: Dark Eldar, Skaven, and Mantic Undead. Anyone out there have a preference?

I'll be updating much sooner than 1 year from now. It helps to have improved my picture taking some, even if only modestly.
